The Lao PDR - United Nations Partnership Framework (2017-2021)

The ‘Lao PDR-United Nations Partnership Framework 2017-2021’ reflects the ambition of the United Nations to support national development priorities and the Government’s aspirations to graduate from Least Developed Country status and provide quality services to all citizens.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith and the United Nations Resident Coordinator Kaarina Immonen signed the new five-year framework for development co-operation between the United Nations and the Government of Lao PDR in Vientiane on 7 September, 2016, in the presence of United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Deputy Prime Minister Somdy Douangdy.
